Syllabus

This syllabus is designed to act as an in-order lesson plan for introducing new players. Many of these concepts are covered briefly in the tutorials, but these should be reviewed as you go as these are often not covered in great depth, especially when restricted by the tutorial.

Each lesson assumes knowledge of all lessons above it, so don't try to jump straight into Combat training if you're still not fully familiar with Basic/Intermediate Flight Training, for instance. You will likely be more confused than anything.

From here, you can choose which career to start first:

Trading is the easiest to learn and low risk with only the occasional interdiction, but least rewarding in terms of spectacle. You can expect to make somewhere around 30M Credits per hour on average.

Mining hits in the middle being mildly complex and somewhat risky, in exchange for a more interesting game loop. This also makes around 30M Credits per hour.

Combat is the most fun and exciting, but also most difficult, and often resulting in a loss of credits rather than a gain. Combat is generally best utilized for making Rank progression rather than for profit.
